The food is delicious. I hadn't been there since before the lockdown. I got out of work early and stopped by and ordered two gorditas de asada. Everything was good about it. The price the quality and the service is top notch.

Forget about using plasticware in their wet burrito. It's HEAVY. And totally worth it, but be aware that hotel plastic forks and knives will not do anything to this burrito. This is in the same building as a butcher shop, so you know it's going to be good. It was better than that. I can't stop eating even though I was full 20 minutes after I started, but it's so delicioso!

Delicious authentic Mexican dishes! Great prices. Casual dining area. A quick stop on our road trip back from Yosemite. Beats fast food any day of the week!

Updating my review from 4 years ago. This place has hit the spot in every aspect: affordable, fresh, great customer service and amazing taste. I got a wet burrito and I loved the options they had to choose from with different sauces, meats and inside and outside options! They have definitely improved since my last review, and I will be back!

What a nice surprise of warmth and deliciousness! We were greeted immediately on entering this cute little carniceria and taqueria! We always like to eat where the locals eat and this was definitely the case here! We enjoyed option #3 breakfast burrito with bacon and spam and the special 5 rolled beef tacos with shredded cabbage, cotija cheese and tomato instead of pico de gallo. YUM! The ladies behind the counter were all very nice and friendly as well as helpful. It sounded like the customers that came were regulars as everyone was greeted with equal friendliness and departed with warm wishes on their exit. It's a small shop that is very clean inside and also behind the counters. Even the bathroom was nice and tidy and nice and warm which was perfect on a cool fall day! Please consider paying them a visit! We highly recommend supporting this local business so you can experience their tasty dishes and welcoming service!

I found this diamond in the rough on Yelp! My daughter and I decided to go in for lunch and to our pleasant surprise the food was absolutely fabulous! We had The California burrito which was HUGE in both size and flavor! The burritos were stuffed with fresh not greasy Carne asada, pico de gallo, crispy French fries, guacamole, cheese and salsa (no rice and beans). The interior is brightly lit and immaculately clean down to even the restroom. The meat counter offered many varieties of meat and they even sell large family packs of assorted cuts of meats for you to take home and it doesn't smell of meat or blood as many meat markets do! I highly recommend giving it a try if you like authentic no frills Mexican food!

I come from Los Angeles, and my husband and I missed oriental Mexican food. We tried this place out, and boy was it amazing! He got a carnitas wet burrito and I got a carne asada burrito. The prices were fair! 7 dollars for my burrito and 8 dollars for his ! Wow, food was fresh, the employees so polite, and they even take phone orders.... like what more, can I ask for? It's also a store, so one can get soda, chips, aguas frescas, snacks etc. It was close enough to the street style Mexican food in L.A. So, this place is a little gem, here in Merced.
